Hi I’m Renee
I am an AHPRA-registered psychologist and the person behind Kalaz Psychology. I have experience providing therapy and psychological assessment to adults, adolescents, parents, and children across a broad range of presentation and life experiences.
Before becoming a psychologist, I spent many years working in education including teaching and working in an alternative education setting with young people experiencing significant learning, behavioural, and life challenges. My work in education and psychology has given me experience working with people of different ages, backgrounds, and circumstances.
I aim to create a space where you can be yourself, and where therapy feels relevant to what you’re experiencing. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and adapt the way we work according to your needs and goals.
Outside of work, I’m a mum of three and an animal lover, with dogs and chickens as part of the family. I love travelling, road trips and discovering new places with my family, and I particularly enjoy experiencing different cultures and learning about different ways of life. I also enjoy being outdoors, whether that’s hiking, camping, scuba diving or simply going for a walk. I practise martial arts regularly and have been involved with Scouts for many years, supporting young people as they build confidence, independence and practical life skills. And a good coffee is one of my favourite little ways to start the day.
